My name is Naching Kassa and I am the proud daughter of an Army veteran. My father, Sam Nehls, returned from serving his country with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and overcame it with the help of man’s best friend. Eager to understand the problems of PTSD, my father became a dog trainer and developed his own methods of obedience and guard training. He became so accomplished at this task, that he was able to become Head of Security at the U.S. Pavilion during Expo ’74 and was well known throughout Eastern Washington for his talents. He passed away in January of this year. Operation Dog Tag is the only charity worthy enough to honor my father’s memory. It provides a wonderful service for our wounded warriors. The dogs are more than just companions to these men and women; they give them a reason to live, not just exist. If you are a wounded warrior, I encourage you to join this program. Operation Dog Tag cares about you and can change your life. If you are looking for a worthy charity to support, I recommend this one. My family supports it. I support it. I mean, what is better than understanding and unconditional love?
