Last Friday, it was announced that Spokane County was approved to move forward into Phase 2 of reopening, and our members could not be more eager to get back to work. The Spokane Home Builders Association (SHBA) has been working hard with Mayor Nadine Woodward along with other local Mayors and our County Commissioners to encourage Governor Inslee to allow Spokane to move into Phase 2. It is because of their early and often public pressure on the governor that we are in Phase 2 at this time.
We have also been working alongside the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) to fight for Grant County’s application to move into Phase 2. We are excited to say that our hard work has paid off, as Grant County was approved to move into Phase 2 this week.
Both the SHBA and the BIAW have been busy ensuring that all our members have access to the resources they require to remain compliant and keep working. The Phase 1 & 2 jobsite requirements can be found on the SHBA Back to Work Resources page and the BIAW Jobsite Safety page. Our members are glad to be able to continue with their projects. If you are itching to start a remodel on your home or are looking for a new home builder, be sure to contact the Spokane Home Builders Association at (509) 532-4990 or visit www.Shba.com. We would be happy to connect you with the best contractor for the job, or to help provide you with resources and guidance about specific safety requirements & guidelines.
