RIP Buddy

Not sure our hearts can get much heavier or have any more tears. We rescued Buddy in December 2013 but really I think he rescued us. Last November we received heartbreaking news about Buddy. We were however blessed with over 8 months of more time with him than we thought we would have. Our heartfelt thanks for that goes to Dr. DeSautel (as far as we are concerned Spokane’s best vet) and also Dr. Sowa (as far as we are concerned the best PT vet around - her acupuncture/ cold laser/ chiropractic gave us more quality time with our Bud) Thank you to the these two terrific caregivers!

Too many people say I can’t take the pain of losing them.... well we’ll take that pain over never having had them. Our hearts are full - it was so hard saying good-bye but boy we have so many wonderful memories and such love from our Buddy! From your stretched out poses to running the fence line with the neighbor’s horses - literally galloping just like them - you are in our hearts forever!

I can’t imagine someone just dumping you out in the woods but the end result was us having you! Separation anxiety, scared of men, not wanting to be shut in, 30lbs under weight.... But you ended up with US and it was all upward from there! So glad we could rescue you and you gave us such devoted love. And no, you never did realize your 140lbs was a BIT large! You shared your beds, the couch, your toys with anyone. You loved everybody and most everybody loved you (OK so your size was a bit intimidating to some!) God Bless You Buddy! We love you & will see you again!
