A strong economy and low inventory of homes on the market has driven up the demand for major home renovations. The Spokane Home Builders Association’s Education Department provides members and non-members with classes that will keep you in compliance with state and federal regulations for registered contractors.
As the presence of EPA inspections in our area increases, it is in your best interest to invest in the classes now to avoid getting hit with costly fines. “I would rather companies get into compliance before they start the work than come across them in the field and have to issue a citation,” says Jennifer Caraway, Compliance and Enforcement Officer for Eastern Washington.

The training course is required for any contractor that is involved in any activity that will - or has the potential to - disturb six square feet of lead-based paint in a room or 20 square feet on the exterior.
