It is of great importance to keep your company at the top of its game through state and federally mandated contractor certifications. Being up to date on your certifications could be the difference between a job well done and losing money on a job with hefty fines.
Here are some expiration dates to think of this upcoming construction season that could affect your bottom line, if you are not adequately certified.
Expiration Date Life-Cycle:
• First Aid: 2 Years
• Lead-Based Paint Certification: 5 Years (if taken in person) & 3 Years (if taken online) – *Make sure your business is certified as well!
• Certified Erosion Sediment Control Lead & Re-Certification: 3 Years (6-month grace period to take re-certification class but cannot work as a CESCL until renewed)
• Confined Spaces Certification: 2 Years
• Excavation & Trenching Certification: 2 Years
• Fall Protection Certification: 2 Years
• Flagger Certification: 3 Years
