Third Annual Construction Camp is Open to Area High Schoolers

Frame Your Future (FYF), Spokane Home Builders Association & East Valley School District are excited to host the 3rd Annual Construction Camp on Saturday, May 20, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

This FREE, on-the-job training & trades exposure event is open to all local high school juniors and seniors and will take place at East Valley High School.

 

STUDENTS WILL:

  • Gain exposure to necessary construction skills including blueprint reading, framing, siding, roofing, and workplace safety.
  • Practice communication & leadership skills while working in teams to build a garden shed.
  • Use different types of hand tools and equipment found on a construction job site.
  • Engage and connect with local home builders, some of whom have openings for jobs and summer internships.
  • Receive a starter tool kit for free, along with an event T-shirt and lunch!
  • Registration is limited to the first 60 registrants, so 11th and 12th graders are invited to sign up as soon as they can!
