On August 14, 2022 Roger V. Liberty went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus of Nazareth. Roger was born on September 18, 1936, the son of Ralph & Alta Liberty. Roger was the middle child with an older brother & sister, Ralph Jr. & Darlene, & a younger sister & brother Sharon and Randy, his younger brother Randy is the only surviving sibling.

Roger was born in Conde, South Dakota & moved West with his parents; he also lived in Renton, WA, Ritzville, WA & Post Falls, ID, where he met the love of his life Patricia Tibbets. They married on October 9, 1954 & enjoyed over 68 years of marriage. Roger is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Curtis, Wade & Mark; Grandchildren Caden, Merlee, Brian, Jacob, Eva, Marie, Matthew & Nolan. 

Roger worked for Washington Water Power/ Avista for 40 years where he traveled working in power houses & substations, he worked in every dam that WWP owned at the time. Later he transferred downtown to underground & high voltage for 9 years, then became a dispatcher for the last 9 years. Roger taught First Aid and high voltage terminating & splicing at Spokane Community College for many years. 

Roger accepted the Lord and Savior in July 1974 and traveled the globe on missionary work on three different occasions, spreading the word of Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. He was an Associate Pastor at New Beginnings Church for 8 years.

Roger was very athletic and competitive, he raced stock cars, played hockey, softball, shot trap & skeet & ran both Gun Clubs in Spokane.

He also enjoyed Boy Scouts, Tennis & Table Tennis, flat track motorcycle racing, hunting, fishing, river rafting & even boxing in High School.

Roger will be sorely missed by his friends & family alike as he influenced so many people to be the best they could possibly be.

A memorial is planned for Sunday, September 18 at 3pm at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council building, 6116 N. Market, Spokane
